| today is tuesday. kinda like a typical boring weekday. (esp when my mommy's home!)
but then, i was pleasently surprised when my 3rd uncle and his adorable little angel paid a visit.
so that little angel came into my bedroom and disrupted my sleep! but shes a cute disturbance in that sense. when i fished out my Vodafone from under my pillow, she said " is that your phone?!'"
i was like "uh-huh, its nice isnt it?"
then she said, "can we take a photo?"
so.....
here it is. shes smiling so widely! haha.
yes, i just woke up. ( that explains my haggish skin)
and then, being the hospitable me, i played with her even though i badly wanted to continue living in my lala land.
she tugged me, forced me to play with lowkaryee's gameboy with her!
and she read my witch comics.
so then she said,,,, " clarissa, dont read Witch."
(WHY! it costs me a bomb okay!)
" it contains magic and Jesus doesnt like it"
then i was like "ohgod, youre so mature janna! okay, i shant read it."
she replied, " dont say ohgod! say ohdear instead. ohgod is a bad word"
haha! shes so mature and innocent. that little angel.i couldnt resist snapping more cue poses of her.
she loves my neoprints. she calls them small photos. haha.
she asked me if she could bring home one cus they're so small and cute. (:
her being cute. and photogenic in a way.
let me show you how mature she is.
she says "clarissa, are you a christian?"
i say" yeah. are you?"
she says " yes! but my neighbors arent christians. i told them about Jesus but they worship idols."
me: "aww. its okay. do you love Jesus?"
her: "yes. i pray to him everynight."
what an angel she is.
and then i asked her about her school life. she loves her friends!
she told me her best friends are boys! believe it or not.
i used to think boys are jerks and immature things.
until now, i still feel that way.
but amazingly, she thinks boys can play with her and they are nice.
when asked who her best friends are, she goes...
"justin, nathenial...."
girls? what bout girls?

| so ive been really playful this holiday. watching hongkong drams, going out, scolding people, talking to people online till 2am. ohgod. and eating too much fried food.

| i did some serious thinking today. went to karyee's house, more specifically, chinatown. as you all might know, chinatown isnt exatly the most upmarket place in signapore. as i was running through the rain, desperately seeking for shelter, i couldnt help but notice a number of old men lying on public benches, in the rain! they didnt have any top on, perhelps they are too poor for that. as if that wasnt enough, they looked miserable. so miserable i wish i could give them some sort of shelter. they looked so...worned out, frill and tired.
and then i saw a few old grannies. they looked so weak. like they could tumble or fall while trodding to the market with a heavy basket held tightly in their skinny, wrinkled arms.
which brings me to the point of today's lesson.
why is this world so unfair? that two boys, of approximatly the same age, can lead 2 very different lifes?
WHY?
boy A, Wu Huang Ting.
hes 16 i think.
Taiwan; taichung.
he values friendship.
Simple things can keep him content and happy.
like this really cute frog purse he has.
(he gave it to me:D )
but he treasures such a small, 'unexpensive' thing.
if he ever gets to own even a motorcycle, he would feel so lucky. and happy.
he does not get to buy branded stuff like clothes and pencilcases or even wallets.
and his pocket money is not as much as boy B's. maybe 1/5 only.
hes not ashamed of his terrible english grades.
(he showed me, 12/100!)
instead, he smiled and promised to work harder.
he has heard of iPod before.
but feels so elated just being able to touch one.
he does his own dishes, values his every pen in his pencilcase or every penny he has cus he knows how hard his mum works to provide him with what he has now.
he does not lead a wealthy life. to the extend of even a poor life.
but he is ALWAYS smiling. like hes the happiest boy around.
simple things like friendship, makes him happy.
he smiles all the time,because he knows how to be content.
and he helps people with a smile. he is not stingy with praises.
if he feels that people misunderstands him, he would frown and explain things immediately.
Boy B.
Jeremy Chan.
14 years.
Singapore.
has a Godaunt who doesnt mind lavishing and spending money to make him happy.
things like iPods, expensive cameras, expensive high-tech cellphones can keep him quite satisfied. not for long.
he wants an Aston Martin. to keep him happy.
getting 70% for english, hes not satisfied and he complains.
he was brought up in a well-to-do family.
whatever he wants, most of the time, he gets them.
he gets to travel almost every part of the world.
his family is so rich you cant finish counting their assets.
everything he gets, is the best. branded clothes, branded shoes.
but yet, he yearning for more.
hes not satisfied. not truely happy.
how come Boy A can be so happy even without all the stuff boy B has?
why does boy B feel so discontent with what he has?
this world isnt fair. it never was.
so whatever you have, treasure it.
even if youre like boy A, you can still be the happiest person on earth.
you CAN.
if you're like boy B,
try to appreciate everything you have.
be humble.
i miss huang ting now.

| suddenly, ive got this CRAZE to blog about taiwan. and of course, photos.

today, i presented my lovely hand made card to lowmama.
she was not very touched but nevermind; its nicer than last year's!

im having a terrible headache already.

first day; at the pottery workshop.
this was where we met our lovely caomei lao shi! i miss him so much already!
2nd or 3rd day?; vanilla farm.
with micheal daoyou the second.

this brilliant lady taught us DIY paper fans!
